GENERAL INFORMATION
Hunting in Bulgaria
Over 2000-2500 foreign hunters a year go shooting in Bulgaria, a large part of them being traditional visitors in the country.
Bulgaria is presented by 22,500 red deer, 4,900 fallow deer, 78,000 row deer, 2,100 chamois, 2,500 mouflons, over 37,500 boars, over 8,000 bears, 2,2000 capercallies, hares, partidges, pheasnts.
Hunting of wolves, jackals and foxes, pheasants, partidges, pigeons and will ducks is full of emotion. The specialised modern equipment of the forestry enterprise, consisting of over 110 huts and hunter's houses, provides more than 1100 beds and all necessary conditions.
Foreign hunters are welcomed at a Bulgarian airport or at a certain border inspection point by an agent of the touring agency, that has signed the contract, or by a representative, where hunting is going to take place. The transfer from the airport to the Station is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the contract for the organized hunting tourism by the touring agency if requested. An interpreter is provided if requested, at disposal to accompany hunters.
The Director of the Station or a delegated person issues hunting certificates for foreign hunters (in a format approved by NFB) or permits for hunting.
Fishing in Bulgaria
1. Sweet/fresh water (Siluroides) – (Alburnus alburnus), grey mullet, chub (Mugil cephalos), carp (Cyprinos carpio), sheat-fish (Silarus glanus), (Perca
 fluviatilis), pike (Esox lucius), pike-perch (Stizostedion lucioperca), (Salmo trutta fario), (Salmo gairdneri irideus), (Salvelinus fontinalis). Most of these fishes are over 2kg and can be prepared and eaten or returned in water depends on wish. There are lots of small kind fishes for fun and food. Harpooning in sweet water is forbidden in Bulgaria. Forbidden time for fishing concerning spawning, month May for all sweet water fishes, only for (Salmo) in mountains Oct. to Dec. For anglers Black Sea (salt water) is allowed the whole year.
2. Black Sea / salt water fishes - (Mesogobis), (Mugil cephalus), (Liza aurata), blue fish (Pomatomus saltrix), tunny (Palamis sarda), turbot (Psetta maxima maeotica), (Trachurus mediterraneus ponticus) and small dog-sharks (Squalidae). Harpooning allowed the whole year. There are no dangerous fishes in Black Sea. Also the only kind of shark, the dog-shark is small (15 kg. Max.) and never attacks people. The only way to see and catch such a shark is to go with a boot 4-5 km from the shore and to fish them in deep water.

Svæðið
norður af Varna er
farið að ganga undir nafninu Golfströndin. Nánar tiltekið svæðið
norður af Golden Sands sem Íslandingar þekkja vel en Terra Nova hefur
verið með ferðir þangað.

(20 kílómetra frá Gabrovo og 48 kílómetra frá VelikoTurnovo)
Uzana svæðið er stórt og nær upp í 1420 metera hæð við rætur Ispolin fjallstindar í balkan fjöllum. Það er staðsett 20 kílómetra frá Gabrovo og er í landfræðilegri miðri Búlgaríu. Ferskt fjallaloftið og náttúran gera Uzana stórkostlegt. Uzana er upphafsstaður margra góðra gönguleiða t.d. Mazalat chalet, Ispolin and Shipka tinda auk fleira áhugaverðra staða.
